William Wordsworth once said, "Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart." He just wasn't familiar with computers to add in social media.
Taking Wordsworth's advice, this blog holds a few of my deepest opinions, thoughts and emotions that fill the computer screen with a piece of my heart. Passionless words are dead, because passion brings words to life. Often times, or at least in my case, the heart is the key to the soul and writing its sole escape. Our hearts are filled with one of our most precious treasures, our passion; it opens up through our writing and breathes life into words revealing the depths of our souls.
Today I may take on an amateur's attempt at poetry. Perhaps tomorrow, it will be a reflection on life and the world we live in. One day it could be utilizing my knowledge of journalism to inform or enlighten. Everyday of our lives is a new day, different than the one before, holding a different purpose--every post on this blog will reflect the nature of our lives, different every single day with a constantly changing purpose.
I will not pretend that I am an expert on anything. I am just a girl making her way through life and through the blogosphere. If somewhere on this journey, my pen's flame flickers unnoticed, my passion filled words will live on forever in my heart without a degree of regret. If somewhere on this journey, however, my pen ignites a fire within the heart or mind of one discouraged soul, it will only make my passion grow stronger with the knowledge that the glow and warmth of my heart has brightened the way for someone else.
So, welcome to the veins that pump in the "breath" of my heart. May my passion inspire yours.
