This is a short poem I read inspired from the 18th century children's prayer: Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep.
As I lay me down to sleep,
And dream of my life with thee;
I pray dear Lord my soul to keep,
And despite my dreams, let His will be.
So keep my guarded through the night,
Give me strength to know what's right.
And keep me safe 'til morning light,
Until I see your heavenly light.
As I lay me down to sleep,
And dream of my life with thee;
I pray dear Lord my soul to keep,
And despite my dreams, let His will be.
So keep my guarded through the night,
Give me strength to know what's right.
And keep me safe 'til morning light,
Until I see your heavenly light.
